The Parish Pastoral Council (PPC)
History
The PPC first met in September 2006 with elected members of the committee from each of the three churches within the parish. Previously each church had a committee to discuss issues within the church but unity across all three was missing. The PPC used that first meeting to agree the common purposes that we shared and set out a framework for future meetings.
The Role
The role of the PPC is to coordinate the development of pastoral activities in the Parish.
The Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) comprises of 5 key purposes:

The Aim
- All identified parish functions allocated to each purpose.
- Form teams within the PP to take responsibility for each purpose.
- To listen to the people in the parish and consider their needs at meetings.
- Not to do, but to plan and ensure it is done.
- Regular progress reviews.
How the PPC and the Parish work together
Each group within the Parish will meet during the year to draw up and implement plans to improve the pastoral life of the parish in its own area.
Meetings
The PPC will meet bi-monthly, normally on the first Wednesday. The meetings take place in Risca or Pontllanfriath church hall at 7.30pm
